As the US presidential election approaches, billionaire Mark Cuban has become a vocal campaign surrogate for Kamala Harris. Advocating for business leaders to back the Democrat over Donald Trump, Cuban draws on his extensive experience in tech, investments, healthcare, and sports (as a minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team), as well as his celebrity status from 15 seasons as a lead “shark” on ABC’s *Shark Tank*. He has also shown a willingness to challenge Trump-supporting billionaires, most notably Elon Musk.
However, the journey hasn’t been without challenges. Last week, Cuban clashed with congressional progressives after criticizing Lina Khan, chair of the Federal Trade Commission, over her antitrust efforts in the tech sector. In the interview below, Cuban addresses this issue, along with his views on Trump’s support of tariffs and the recurring speculation about his own presidential aspirations.
